Job Roles
- Be responsible for casework and resource planning related to a variety of programs for children in care, foster families and/or extended family caregivers.
- Work effectively and positively to support regional directions that continuously improve or enhance service delivery to children and their families
- Deliver training or facilitate groups for educational/support purposes
- Conduct family assessments for prospective adoptive, foster or extended family-based caregivers;
- Facilitate placements, providing post-placement support and maintenance;
- Provide support for caregivers to develop planning in children’s best interests and work to establish the supports required;
- Work with foster parents/caregivers to plan and prepare for the child’s return home;
- Act as a liaison and consultant where required, with FNCFS and other community agencies, on matters relating to service delivery for caregivers and decisions regarding children; and
- Complete documentation in accordance with professional standards of practice.

Job roles
- You will be Supervising and caring for children in the employer’s or own residence
- Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
- Prepare formulas and change diapers for infants
- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other such as housekeeping duties
- Oversee children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the employer
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Instruct children in personal hygiene
- Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities, such as games, crafts, reading and outings
- Take children to and from school and appointments, May be required to keep records of each child’s daily activities and health information
Wage / Salary: 18/Hr. during the first year then increased to $20/Hr. for 2nd year. $30 Hr. / week
